Leta 2010 smo s spodbudo Snovalec za najboljše turistične ideje nagradili FIJET-ov projekt Akademija za mlade turistične novinarje, ki je bila nato v letu 2011 organizirana v Sloveniji. Tokrat pa je potekala v tunizijskem Hammametu.

Cilj Akademije je posredovati mladim novinarjem znanje o aktualnem dogajanju v globalni turistični dejavnosti, spremembah tako na strani ponudbe kot povpraševanja ter o trajnostnem turizmu. Gre za četrto Akademijo, medtem ko se bile prve tri v Sloveniji in sicer na Bledu, v Portorožu in Mariboru.

Letošnjega izobraževanja so se udeležili mladi novinarji iz Italije, Hrvaške, Turčije, Tunizije, Francije, Libanona in Slovenije. Udeleženca iz Slovenije sta bila Mankica Kranjec, svobodna novinarka, sodelavka Nedela in fotografinja, ter Peter Močnik, sodelavec Radia Slovenija.

Kot predavatelja sta bila na Akademijo povabljena Drago Bulc, predsednik, in Cveta Potočnik, generalna sekretarka FIJET Slovenija.
